I really appreciate how Bob’s lesson actually focused on playing a real game, which was pretty helpful given the nature of the play in courts. I learned quite a bit about anticipating the ball and the basics of the game. I’m optimistic I can build on this foundation next time. Bob is also very patient with newbies like me.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonAfter a Pickleball specific warmup we will start with Kitchen line dinking checking footing & paddle position
Speed ups are next, teaching resets & punch volleys
We then will look at serving & return of serve
Lesson 11+Working mainly on court strategy to become a higher level player
Hitting the ball down the middle & at our opponents feet
Lesson 4-10More driving or dropping the ball from the midcourt & baseline until it becomes natural
Play out points in singles or doubles format
Lesson 2-3In the next few lessons we will continue to work on serve & return but moving into 3rd shot drive or drop with a goal of neutralizing the point by getting to the kitchen line
