Working with kidsKids usually have raw talent, but no pickleball training yet. Learning the movement mechanics of a swing, how to hold the paddle properly, and how to move their feet are important at first. Patience and constant encouragement are two important traits required when teaching kids.
Working with teenagersI find that teenagers sometimes need to be shown that you’re actually good at what you are trying to teach them. It’s also important to keep the lessons more engaging for teenagers. I like to teach an interesting higher level skill in teenager lessons so they don’t get bored with too much drilling.
What you need to bringPlease wear comfortable clothes & shoes. Please bring water, your paddle, and be ready to defeat your opponents like a ninja!
What I can bringI will provide paddles (if needed), targets, cones, and a hopper full of pickleballs.
