A lifelong athlete who made the transition from high-level club tennis to pickleball, I love working with beginners and intermediates alike to develop skills and game strategy. I have my PPR pickleball teaching certification and Red Cross First Aid/ CPR/AED certificate, and I am very active in the Chicago North Shore pickleball community, with a vast knowledge of equipment and facilities. Chris is an excellent and positive coach. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI have taught thousands of hours of lessons, and I have a simple method to get you playing right away. We'll cover two key skills and two important rules, then learn to serve, and then start playing actual points. Usually, students are playing games by the end of the hour, and with a basic knowledge of court positioning too!
Lesson 11+In these lessons, we practice developing skills and focus on court positioning and game play.
Lesson 4-10Here, we continue working on points from the second and third lessons and introduce new skills such as volleying and 3rd-shot drops.
Lesson 2-3In these lessons, we review the key points from the first lesson and then work skills, including dinking, serving, and working together with your partner.
What you need to bringJust wear sturdy shoes. I have everything else to get you playing in no time.
What I can bringI have all the equipment you will need, including paddles and balls.
