When you buy with TeachMe.To you're getting access to a network of coaches. If you don't love your lessons with David, we'll switch you to another coach or give you a full refund.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe start slow. This first course is all about safety, rules, positioning, scoring, equipment, paddle grips, contact points, serving and soft volleys.
Lesson 2-3Focus on serving, dinking and drop shots.
Lesson 4-10More aggressive serves, dinking with a purpose, drop shot and transitions, resets, footwork and strategy. By the end of these courses you will be comfortable playing in most open play and 3.0 + DUPR rated leagues and tournaments.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonServes and return of serves. Learn how to use your entire body to serve harder, deeper, and with spin. Analyze receivers positioning and weakness to place the ball for more offensive serving.
Lesson 2-3Dinking with intent and purpose. Work on mechanics of the dink to be able to be more aggressive at the kitchen and make your opponent uncomfortable and guessing.
Lesson 4-10These classes focus on transitions, drops, resets, footwork, net play, strategy, and taking control of the rally to put your opponents and defense to win the point mentally as much as physically.
Lesson 11+We work together to build a program based on the students skill sets and goals.

Youth players
Working with kidsThe focus on teaching youth is to get them interested on the game by making it fun and introduce rules and strategy gradually. It is best to have 2-4 youth in each lesson. These lessons are packed with fun drills and basic skill building. As the course progresses we move into more focused strategy, positioning, shot selection and strategy. Kids can be fast learners and we build as their skills level builds without demanding too much.

Working with teenagersTeenagers want to play. If the student has no knowledge of Phckleball we start by hitting and playing and introduce rules, scoring and positioning first. We then work on a specific skill set in each session and practice that in game play for the last 20 minutes. For teens who have basic knowledge and some experience, we focus on one skill set each session and then apply it in game play situations for the final 20 minutes.

What you need to bringGreat attitude, good athletic court shoes, water bottle, proper attire.

What I can bringPaddles, balls, protective eyewear.

Very patient. Focused on what I needed.

I have a blast learning with Coach Dave. He comes every week with fun new drills and they’re usually elements of the game I’ve never worked on or thought about working on before.
Jill M
I started as a complete beginner having never played before. My friend and I have taken multiple classes with Dave and he’s very patient with me and although I’m not very athletic, I am growing better each session. He makes it easy to learn.
Nancy E.
I take Dave’s individual clinics through Bloomington Ed. He’s helped me immensely with my serves, dinks, drops, lobs/defending lobs and footwork. He’s made me really focus on my footwork and strategy and it’s helping me in rec play.
Colleen S.
I’m not athletic and took lessons with my husband. Dave made it fun and I learned a lot. He’s very thorough and gave me enough confidence to play with friends weekly.
Ross F.
I found Dave in Puerto Vallarta. He gave me lessons on serving and dinking. We focused on my mechanics and I was able to add power and spins to my serves and I’m able to dink more aggressively and with a purpose. I’m looking forward to taking his drop shots and transitions class and more serving classes next fall.
