Introduction & Fundamentals
Players learn the court layout, scoring basics, and rules, along with proper grip, stance, and footwork. They practice simple forehand and backhand groundstrokes and begin rallying cooperatively without focusing on net play.
Advanced Play & Competitive Situations
The emphasis shifts to advanced shot selection, resets, and speed-ups, along with doubles formations, anticipation, and adapting strategies. Players refine their mental game and practice through tournament-style play, focusing on confidence, patience, and decision-making under pressure.
Core Skills & Strategy
Players develop essential strokes such as dinks, volleys, third-shot drops, lobs, and overheads while learning court positioning and net play. They practice crosscourt and cooperative rallies, serve–return–third shot progressions, and partner communication, gradually moving from cooperative to competitive play.
Serving & Return of Serve
Focus is on developing a legal, consistent underhand serve and a deep, controlled return of serve. Players learn the double-bounce rule, practice serve-and-return drills, and begin short rallies that always start with a serve sequence.
Assessment & Advanced Foundations
Players review grip, stance, and movement to identify habits to refine. Focus is on shot consistency, footwork efficiency, and quick resets, with drills that simulate high-paced rallies to establish a performance baseline.
Competitive Play & Advanced Strategy
Players work on stacking formations, mixed-doubles adjustments, speed-ups at the kitchen, and situational point play. Mental toughness, momentum control, and adapting to different play styles are reinforced through tournament-style matches, tactical challenges, and high-intensity drills simulating competitive pressure.
Offensive & Defensive Mastery
Training covers third-shot drives vs. drops, counter-attacks, advanced volley techniques, and the art of the reset under pressure. Players refine transition footwork, master lobs and overhead counters, and learn to disguise shots. Emphasis is placed on constructing points with intentional shot selection and anticipating opponent patterns.
Precision Serving & Returns
Advanced serving strategies are introduced, including spin, deception, and placement to force weaker returns. Players practice aggressive and strategic returns designed to set up third-shot opportunities, with drills emphasizing depth and directional control.
