Your first lessonThe first lesson is getting
Comfortable on the court. We work on hand eye coordination, positioning, footwork, learning how to score, and feeling comfortable hitting the ball back-and-forth.
Lesson 11+Lessons 11 and on, we will work towards tournament play. Reinforcing all the previous lessons and getting comfortable, driving the ball and placing it strategically. This is where we really get into mindset training on the court, making sure that every shot we take is a brand new one. Mindset training is going to be the most important when you get advanced. This is how we win Pickelball.
Lesson 4-10Lessons four through 10. We will begin playing and scoring getting the feel of how it is utilizing the lessons I’ve taught previously in a game session. We will start to work on strategy so you understand where to position yourself and also the ball.
Lesson 2-3I always work with my students reinforcing what I did the lesson before. Lesson two and three we will add on more specific targets when hitting, returning, and serving the ball.
Youth players
Working with kidsI design every pickleball lesson with youth players in mind, because kids learn differently than adults and they need structure, movement, and confidence first. You will see shorter drills, fast rotations, and games that keep energy high so no one stands still for long. I break skills into small steps, footwork first, paddle control second, then strategy, so players build strong habits from day one instead of fixing mistakes later. You get clear goals each session, simple language, and positive coaching that helps kids feel safe to try, fail, and improve. I also weave in teamwork, communication, and leadership so your child grows on and off the court. The result is focused training that develops real technique, stronger mindset, and a love for the game that keeps them coming back.
