About your pickleball coach
I am a teacher by profession. After teaching science 18 years in South Korea, Mexico City, and Denver, i found pickleball in 2017. I was hooked right away and started filming my tournaments to improve. I achieved my goal of making it to Nationals and have won many medals in Men’s, Mixed, and Singles. Pickleball is my life’s passion, and I have now pivoted to teaching pickleball at Gates Tennis Center. I can help you elevate your game through active play, effective analysis, and coaching. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe begin with an overview of the Pickleball court, the equipment and the proper grip of the paddle. Then I assess your eye hand coordination and then move on to keeping your eye on the ball and striking the ball with the paddle.
Lesson 2-3Second and third lessons are about proper court positioning during pickleball points, including the serve, return, and Third Shot.
What you need to bringIf it’s cold, bring some thin gloves and ear warmers!
What I can bringAs a Selkirk Advocate, I can provide several Selkirk demo paddles such as the Luxx Control Air, the Invikta Power Air, and the SLK Halo, all used by top professionals. I provide a hopper full of balls for us to use also.
