How it works
Beginner training plan
Your first lessonYou learn the rules and equipment and positions of body and racquet and stance. Kitchen plays and strokes.
Lesson 11+You will know how to move your feet to be under the ball or catching the ball if it moves behind you. How to work with your partner. How to play skinnies.
Lesson 4-10The above and approaches from serve to kitchen play. Lobs , spikes, picks and spins of the ball. Keeping the ball low.
Lesson 2-3Serving, kitchen strokes, lateral movements, and forward movements.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonRules of the game and understanding the court. Drills in the kitchen. Serving. Foot patterns. Grips. Stance. Stretching. * This can go faster or slower depending on the background of each student and the proficiency mastered.
Lesson 11+All of the above. Will depend on the players needs and goals in the game. Doubles coaching. We can play together against others to learn also.
Lesson 4-10Stretching. Stance. Drills in the kitchen. Foot patterns and strokes for back court. Serving, return, kitchen patterns. Lobs, spikes, picks, volleying. Play pickleball!
Lesson 2-3Stretching. Stance. Drills in the kitchen. Foot patterns. Serving. Returning serves. Steps to master. Order of play. Play Skinnies.
Youth players
Working with kidsYes. Look at advanced players coaching technique above. I do camps too!
Working with teenagersTeens are great! I have 4. Let’s play look above to see what we will do.
What you need to bringPlease bring water, towel,a racquet and balls (if you have some). It’s beautiful out let’s enjoy the day.
What I can bringI have balls and racquets and a private court with restrooms, filtered water fountain, restrooms and a park area in the shade to wait for your child if needed.

About your pickleball coach

I started playing pickleball four years ago, and it has kept me both physically active and mentally challenged. This fueled my desire to compete with more skilled players, learning different spins and lobs. As a mom of seven, I enjoy playing pickleball with my children, proving that it's a sport for all ages.
