Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThis beginner pickleball training plan is designed for a one-hour session and focuses on introducing new players to the fundamentals of the game. The session includes a warm-up, skill-building drills, and game play, ensuring a well-rounded introduction to pickleball technique, movement, and rules.
Lesson 11+You’ll put your skills to the test through guided gameplay that incorporates all the techniques and strategies you’ve learned so far. We’ll also introduce advanced shots such as lobs and and work on fine-tuning your overall performance to prepare you for competitive play.

How it works
Lesson 4-10Now, we’ll concentrate on sharpening your shot accuracy and placement while introducing essential strategies for both singles and doubles play. You’ll develop your volley and dink skills, and practice game tactics designed to boost your confidence and effectiveness on the court.
Lesson 2-3Next, we will enhance your basic skills by improving your forehand and backhand techniques and focusing on developing reliable serves. You will also learn the fundamentals of court positioning.
What you need to bringPlease wear court shoes and, if possible, protective eye wear. It’s always a good idea to bring water or a sports drink.
What I can bringI can provide paddles, balls, and a net, if needed.
