As a beginner the first lesson will consist of learning the proper way to grip the paddle, the proper stance while playing, and basic strokes to get you headed in the right direction.
These lessons will be focused on forehand and backhand ground strokes, learning to swing correctly, building good habits off the bat, and learning to create topspin.
Now we begin to incorporate other elements of pickleball into our games, learn to drop, volley, dink, fast hands, strategy, and continue to work on consistency within those things.
Now that we feel comfortable transitioning, getting to the kitchen, and knowing how to hit each shot, we will continue to incorporate these things at a faster pace/level while keeping the consistency high. Learning when and why you would hit each shot in any situation. Huge focus on consistency and fundamentals.
I will asses parts of your games by having you complete shots from different areas on the court and go from there. Figure out what needs more work than other things and allow you to communicate what you need most and would like to also develop as an advanced player.
Introducing new drills for dinks, drives, drops, fast hands. Getting comfortable with swinging loose and hitting aggressive shots in each area.
Reps reps reps! Consistent reps of correct fundamentals. Working on correct footwork and ball control whether itβs drops, drives, sinks, fast hands, and more. Learning how to maximize spin and control all while upping the pace of your game.
Now itβs time to add different elements to your games like low to high speeds up, backhand flicks, inside outs, lobs, and anything else youβd like to use to be the aggressor out on the court.
