Beginner training plan
Your first lessonBasic rules of play, how to hold the paddle, how to call the score, how to serve.
Lesson 11+Dinking, cross court play, back hand rolls/flicks, lobs, spin, tournament prep.
Lesson 4-10Working with a partner, strategy, court coverage,
Lesson 2-3Focus on serving, where to stand on court, best practices on how to get to kitchen line.
Youth players
Working with kidsMy primary focus is on the youth program. I have 2 eleven year olds and coach under 17 locally. Once a quarter I offer a free beginner class for kids here in St.Cloud. Minimum age is a focused 8 year old. I have all the equipment.
Working with teenagersKeep your teen off the streets and put em on the pickleball court. Focused, advanced learning for goal orientation and good sportsmanship. I have all equipment. Ill get them set up and keep them motivated. Ill challenge them to be their best. A little tough love, instruction and mentorship will keep them in high spirits. Exercise and balance through pickleball.
