Sean is a pretty detailed coach, and I think his lesson really helped me refine some techniques. Though I wished there were a bit more focus on strategy, overall I felt more confident when I left. Still, I appreciate his approach and look forward to hopefully tackling more aspects in future lessons. If you're into pickleball and want a coach who really pays attention, you might want to give Sean a try.
Beginner training plan
Your first lessonIntroduce the fundamentals of pickleball, including rules, serving, basic strokes, and gameplay. Build confidence and enthusiasm.
Lesson 11+Teach players how to balance offensive and defensive play, recognize strategic opportunities, and adapt their gameplay based on opponents' strengths and weaknesses.
Lesson 4-10These lessons focus on advancing players' technical skills, strategic thinking, and overall gameplay. Players will learn how to effectively execute and transition to the net using the third shot drop, improve their volleying skills for net control, and master lobs and overhead smashes for both offense and defense.
Doubles strategy and communication will be emphasized to enhance teamwork and positioning.
Lesson 2-3Teach forehand/backhand groundstrokes and introduce proper court positioning.
Teach proper serving technique, return strategies, and reinforce the short game.
