About your singing coach
I’ve been immersed in the world of singing for over a decade. Holding an AA degree in Vocal Performance, I bring a wealth of experience in singing and the vibrant world of musical theatre. Since 2015, I’ve been sharing my love for singing through voice lessons, helping students discover and refine their unique vocal talents. I also completed the prestigious Voice Teacher Training program at New York Vocal Coaching, founded by Justin Stoney. Currently, I am both a performer and co-founder of Khoái Suy Cảm Production, a vocal group and music performance company based in Orange County. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI’ll start with a small talk to understand about their taste of music, the reason why they choose to learn singing, and what is their goals in this journey. Then I’ll tell them concepts of breathing and vocalizing in singing. After that I’ll them some warmup activities, then they will sing a song, I’ll listen to understand their voice, strength and weakness. And I’ll give them some exercises that they can apply right to the song to improve their singing.
Lesson 11+The lesson ritual starts the same. Then I'll instruct the student how to perform the song. Like blocking, facial expression, body expression, instruct them to combine everything from vocal techniques to performing. I'll record their performance, then analyze it to help them improve.
Lesson 4-10The lesson starts like lesson 2-3, then I’ll work with the student to analyze the song deeper, guide them how to express the song in their own way.
Lesson 2-3The lesson will start with breathing exercises, vocal warmup, vocal exercises, then singing.
I’ll analyze the song and their voice, then instruct them how to sing better and what techniques that we learn from the vocal exercises can apply for the song.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonI'll have a small conversation with them to know their vocal journey so far, their singing style, what they want to get better and improve. Then I'll listen to them singing a song to understand their voice. Then I'll give them some vocal exercises to help improving their performance.
Lesson 11+After the starting ritual, I'll have them to figure what they could do on stage like blocking, facial expression, body expression, acting. I'll record their performance, then watching it together with them and point out which they can improve .
Lesson 4-10The starting ritual would be the same as lesson 2-3, then I'll guide them to analyze the song deeper, and instruct them to acting in singing.
Lesson 2-3Check if they understand clearly how to breathe properly in singing. Then give some breathing exercises, warmup exercises. After that based on their goals of improvement I'll give them some vocal exercises, then have them to apply those techniques into the song I chose (that I think can challenge them) to perform it. Youth players
Working with kidsGiving them the foundation of singing. Arousing in them a love of singing. Making them feel that singing is joyful. I don't only teach them singing but also musicianship such as rhythm, pitches, how to read basic music sheet.
Working with teenagersI will teach teenagers like I teach the kids but in an upscale level. Helping them master their voice through puberty.
