About your singing coach

I am an experienced vocal coach with over 15 years of expertise in teaching vocal techniques through private and group lessons, both in person and virtually. I have a proven track record of conducting online classes and masterclasses for large groups, including employees of prominent companies like Yandex. As the principal vocal coach at Umaker School, I specialized in adult vocal training while also possessing the ability to work with children. In 2023, I was honored to serve as a jury member for The Voice Bay Area. As a singer, I was invited to audition for The Voice UK in 2016 and advanced to the second round. I actively perform at corporate and private events, as well as concerts.

"Maya is a master vocal coach and an amazing singer. After only a few months with her I have extended my range and am singing with an ease I had not thought possible. Sections of my songs which I had labeled "difficult" are now a joy to sing. Maya is very good at diagnosing impediments and giving me the detailed feedback I need to sing with more freedom and control. I've wanted to learn how to sing all my life and Maya is helping me do this!!! She is so patient and encouraging and knows exactly what I need to take that note or verse to the next level. I'm training from the ground up and making fast progress thanks to Maya! We start each session with warm-ups that help me exercise and train my vocal cords and breathing, and she changes the exercises each time to help me progress and continue leveling up. Then, she helps me rehearse a song that we've selected together, really helping me refine the song so that I sing it with great power, emotion and precision. I can actually sing a legit song now with great technique. I'm going to continue taking classes with Maya!!!

Maya is an extremely friendly and nice vocal teacher, she always smiling during the lesson, which provides me a confident sense while singing. Maya is such a great teacher. She cares about the progress of her students and makes sure the student is learning a lot during each lesson! I'm a musician playing in a band, primarily playing musical instruments, not singing that much. It was important for me to find a professional vocal coach who would be able to help me improve my singing skill to the stage level. Maya turned out to be exactly what I needed! She perfectly analyzes all the details of singing and develops a special approach to each person. Maya has been my vocal coach for a year now. Maya was very patient with me and she guided me through the voice exercises and didn't pressure me to get to the next level...she said it will come in time, and she focussed me on the task. She allowed me to choose some of the songs I felt comfortable singing and we worked on those songs, and her relaxed and playful attitude made me enjoy the lessons without any pressure, and I stayed with her and my weekly lessons- I highly recommend Maya, as she can bring out the best in a person and get you singing in no time at all. She is worth every cent and if you need to learn breathing techniques- Maya is the person to help you improve. I wouldn't call anyone else for voice training...only Maya.

I am on lesson 5 with Maya. I started with no singing experience and Maya was great at using our first lessons to understand what I wanted to get out of our time together and assess where I needed help. After spending a few classes on just exercises to strengthen my vocal chords, we have started to tackle songs, both within my range and those that are challenging so I can continue to expand my skills. Maya is patient, a great listener, and flexible with my schedule. My partner has noticed improvement in my voice already and my lessons with Maya help my confidence each week. I genuinely look forward to our lessons. I'd recommend her to my friends.
