Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst lesson I like to approach it as a “Get to know you” lesson, where we chat one on one for a few minutes about your relationship to singing and how long you’ve been doing it. What style of singing do you enjoy to sing? What genre catches your attention? Then we’ll start off with some easy exercises to get the voice moving and flowing through the body. Such as kazoos, scales, arpeggios, and octave yodels. Once we’re warmed up, we can discuss together what repertoire you’re interested in singing and getting into your voice. By the end of our first lesson we will have a piece chosen and ready for you to start working on for the next lesson!
Lesson 4-10Lessons 4-10 you should expect them to be pretty much the same. We will begin with grounding and vocal warmup exercises. We will work through your repertoire choices that we choose together.
Lesson 2-3In your second lesson, we’ll always start out by grounding ourselves and lead into warmups. Vocal warmups are important to help get our voice moving. Then we will take a look at the piece we chose together in our first lesson and begin to work through it! By the end of lesson 2, we will have worked through the piece and broken it down together. This makes the learning process of music more fun!

Youth players
Working with kidsI want to teach kids singing lessons because music has always been a source of joy, expression, and confidence in my own life and I want to share that same gift with others. Singing helps children discover their voices, build self-esteem, and develop creativity in a way that feels fun and natural. Guiding them as they grow musically allows me to nurture not only their skills, but also their love for music, giving them an outlet for expression that can stay with them forever.

Working with teenagersI want to teach teenagers singing lessons because this stage of life is a crucial time for building confidence, self-expression, and identity, and music can be a powerful outlet for that growth. Through singing, teens can develop discipline and technical skill while also finding their unique voice and creative style. My goal is to guide them in strengthening their vocal abilities while fostering resilience, teamwork, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

What you need to bring- Staff paper - Pencil - Water - Repertoire or Music pieces

What I can bringEquipment that I will provide in lessons will always be a piano to guide us through warmups for any repertoire we will be studying during our lesson time.
