Your first lessonFirst lesson we will check your vocal range and I will ask you to sing something for me. We will discuss the fundamental methods of singing technique.
Lesson 11+You now have some great vocal technique that you can apply to all genres of music!
Lesson 4-10We will start with warm ups and work on your music!
Lesson 2-3I will teach you how to vocalize and do warmups. We will continue to work on the pieces of music of your choice.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonIn the first lesson I will discuss what elements of your voice you would like to work and we will go from there! We will start with warmups and I’ll have you sing a piece for me.
Lesson 11+This far into lessons you’ll be so good you’ll be teaching me!
Lesson 4-10We will discuss artistry and musicianship.
Lesson 2-3We will warm up and sing! I’ll discuss technique that we can improve upon.

Working with kidsWith children, lessons are typically more playful and interactive, incorporating games, movement, and imagination to keep them engaged and to teach concepts like pitch, breath, and tone in a fun, accessible way. Technical language is simplified, and short, varied activities are used to maintain focus.
Working with teenagersTeaching voice lessons to teenagers involves balancing the playful engagement often used with children and the technical depth appropriate for adults. Teenagers are developing both vocally and emotionally, so lessons need to nurture confidence, encourage self-expression, and address the unique challenges of the changing voice.
