Elise Ross Rattle has performed as a soloist in the major european music festivals (Warsaw Festival, Maggio Musicale Florence, Biennale Festival Venice...), and concert halls (Concertgebauw Amsterdam, Royal Festival Hall London, Theatre des Champs-Elysees Paris...) as well as Tanglewood, Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl. I am a pianist and vocal coach who has worked with Elise for years, including on some tremendously difficult 20th century repertoire including Schoenberg's "Pierrot Lunaire". All of our time spent working on music was both productive and inspiring, as Elise is able to bring a feeling of warmth and sensitivity to even the most challenging of works. She is a teacher who knows how to balance technical and vocal details with understanding of musical form and dramatic expression.
