Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI like to start off my first lesson by hearing you sing something that you love! I like to get a baseline for where we start and discuss what your vocal goals are! I always want to create a safe environment where we can learn and grow and tailor the lessons to your specific need. Then we will go through the basic building blocks of singing and some important warm up and cool down exercises that will keep your voice healthy, strong and happy.
Lesson 4-10Continue to work through repertoire and establish a deep connection to the warm up and cool down exercises. My goal for my long term students is to help them sing consistently for the rest of their life. We will find your unique and authentic voice and discuss how your voice will continue to grow throughout our studies and the rest of your life!
Lesson 2-3We will discuss more vocal exercises in depth and start talking about the mechanics of the voice. What muscles are we using when we sing and how can we use our body to create the easiest, healthiest and most unique sound we can make. We will also choose repertoire that will challenge you but that you love singing. Throughout our sessions we will use these songs and implement the vocal exercises to gain a greater understanding of the voice.
