Jennifer is a highly experienced vocal coach with a Master of Arts degree and more than 25 years of teaching experience. She specializes in helping singers develop strong technique, vocal health, and authentic artistic expression. Drawing from her extensive background in performance and education, Jennifer tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each student. Her passion lies in guiding singers to discover their true voice and reach their fullest potential.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe most important aspect of a first lesson is establishing a rapport with the student. In conversation and fun! We will learn about our goals and consider upcoming performance opportunities
Lesson 11+Many singers enjoy performance opportunities and collaboration with other artists. I can provide digital, social media, in person and recording studio sessions for anyone interested
Lesson 4-10We will have already chosen our singing repertoire and will be developing our phrasing, dynamics and song deconstruction
Lesson 2-3We will be establishing vocal exercises and identifying our repertoire! Getting into a routine and scheduling practice accountability
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonI enjoy working with a variety of ages and skill levels, so our work will be appropriate to your level of comprehension. Professional singers could establish their audition repertoire and online presence. Advanced vocalist might want to work on recording technique or advanced vocal practice
Lesson 11+Advanced singers should have advanced repertoire, advanced vocal technique coupled with personalized practice routine and consistent performance opportunities, if desired
Lesson 4-10Professional performers would be expected to attend auditions on a regular basis and accept feedback for continued growth. Many of our artistic goals are often achieved in performance which would be recommended on a regular basis
Lesson 2-3After we have established your specific goals, I am delighted to use my extensive expertise to help you achieve it! Whether you are attending professional auditions or prepping for a college audition, I am happy to help!

Working with teenagersThe most important thing teenagers can learn is to take personal ownership of their own artistry and development of their unique artistic voice through thought-provoking questions and engaging participation.
What you need to bringMusikland Studios offers state-of-the-art pianos and private Studios for vocal instruction. Each room has a mirror to check vocal technique, please bring your own recording device
What I can bringThe most important instrument of all is you! Make sure you bring a positive attitude. A recording device and a folder with blank notebook paper. We will also procure your sheet music to bring on a regular basis.
