Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson is all about getting to know the student and creating a comfortable, encouraging environment. I assess their current vocal ability, musical goals, and any previous experience. We discuss proper posture, breathing, and healthy vocal technique while identifying strengths and areas for growth. Students leave with personalized exercises and confidence to begin building a strong vocal foundation.
Lesson 2-3During lessons two and three, we begin developing consistency in breath support, pitch accuracy, vocal tone, and confidence. Students learn vocal warm-ups, exercises to strengthen their voice, and begin applying proper technique to songs they enjoy. We also introduce ear training and basic performance skills while continuing to build healthy vocal habits.
Lesson 4-10By this stage, students begin seeing noticeable improvement in vocal control, range, tone, and endurance. We focus on expanding vocal range safely, improving resonance, strengthening registers, developing expression, and refining performance techniques. Lessons are personalized to each student’s goals and musical style while continuing to reinforce healthy vocal technique.
Lesson 11+Students continue refining their unique vocal style while mastering advanced techniques such as dynamics, vocal agility, emotional delivery, stage presence, microphone technique, and performance preparation. Lessons become increasingly personalized, helping students build confidence for auditions, performances, recording, worship leading, or simply singing at their highest potential.

Youth players
Working with kidsI create lessons that are fun, engaging, and tailored to each child’s age, personality, and learning style. Younger students learn best through games, movement, and positive encouragement, while older children are challenged with age-appropriate vocal techniques and performance skills. My goal is to build confidence first, then develop healthy singing habits in a supportive environment where every student feels comfortable expressing themselves.

Working with teenagersI tailor each lesson to the teenager’s goals, whether they want to improve for school choir, musical theater, auditions, church, or contemporary performance. I focus on building healthy vocal technique, confidence, stage presence, and vocal strength while creating a positive, encouraging environment where they feel challenged, supported, and motivated to grow as performers.

“I appreciate that Tab teaches at your pace. She never made me feel rushed or judged. She listened to my goals and customized each lesson to help me get there. My vocal confidence has grown tremendously because of her.”
Landon
Tab is one of the most encouraging vocal coaches I’ve ever worked with. She doesn’t just teach you to sing—she teaches you how to perform with confidence. Every lesson left me feeling more capable than when I walked in. She explains things in a way that’s easy to understand, and I noticed improvement in my voice within just a few lessons.”
Jasmine
Tab is so sweet and uplifting. She helped me feel better about myself while also teaching me the basics around vocal performance and helped me to perfect harmonies. I always struggled to hear harmonies and when she broke them down and trained me how to hear them I began to easily pick them up. It’s really about training your ear to hear the different tones and I never knew how to do that until I met her and took lessons.
Keyah
I had been singing for a while but felt like I had hit a plateau. Tab helped me improve my breath control, pitch, and stage presence. She has an incredible ear and catches things I never noticed. She knows exactly how to coach without making you feel intimidated.”
Mackenzie
We started working with Tab at our daughter age of 8. I couldn’t get her in often so I went once or twice a month and during that time she taught her basics getting comfortable with singing, then moved in to techniques that allowed her confidence but also helped her learn how to do things like, harmonies, working the stage and she even taught her vocal exercises.
