Hey future soccer stars! I’m Coach Andy, and I’ve been tearing up the soccer field my whole life—trust me, I still play competitively and bring that fire every game! Back in high school, I was named MVP my senior year, led my team to glory, and even got picked to play at the state level. When I joined the Army, I took it up a notch, crushing it in high-stakes tournaments and learning what it takes to win big. I’m all about helping YOU become a champ—teaching you slick moves, building your confidence, and making soccer a blast. Let’s hit the field, have fun, and take your game to the next level together! Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI’ll start with the basics to build their confidence! I’ll kick off with a warm-up game like “Red Light, Green Light” to get them moving. Then, I’ll introduce ball control with the “Toe Taps” drill—having them tap the ball between their feet for 30 seconds to improve their touch. I’ll wrap up with a fun “Dribble Tag” where they dribble to avoid being tagged, teaching basic movement with the ball. I’ll keep it light, encourage their effort, and celebrate their small successes!
Lesson 11+I’ll push them to shine with high-level drills! I’ll start with “Rondo” (small-sided keep-away) to sharpen passing and awareness under pressure, aiming for 5-minute rounds. I’ll move to “Overlapping Runs” where they’ll practice timing runs and crosses, doing 10 reps per side. I’ll finish with “Pressure Shooting”—a drill where they dribble past a defender and shoot, repeating 8 times per session. I’m excited for them to develop speed, strategy, and a winning mindset as they master these advanced skills!
Lesson 4-10Now, I’ll focus on helping them grow! I’ll teach the “Shield and Turn” drill—showing them to protect the ball with their body and turn away from pressure, practicing 5 turns each session. I’ll introduce “1v1 Challenges” where they face off against me or a teammate to encourage decision-making. By lesson 10, I’ll have them tackle a mini “Shoot and Score” game, aiming at a small goal to build shooting confidence—I expect progress in control and courage!
Lesson 2-3In these sessions, I’ll help them level up their skills! I’ll introduce the “Inside-Outside” drill to practice cutting the ball with both feet, with 10 reps per foot. I’ll also add a “Pass and Move” game where they pass to a partner and sprint to a cone, building teamwork and stamina. I expect some giggles and wobbly attempts—patience will be key as they start coordinating better with the ball.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonI start with the fundamentals: introducing basic ball control, footwork, and an understanding of game rules in a fun, engaging way. I use simple drills like dribbling through cones to build confidence, and I include a brief mental toughness exercise where they visualize success to set a positive mindset.
Lesson 11+I focus on advanced skills like shooting accuracy, defensive techniques, and game simulation. They can expect personalized feedback and competitive scrimmages. My psychology sessions deepen with mental visualization for performance enhancement and strategies to manage competition stress, fostering a strong, winning mindset.
Lesson 4-10I progress to tactical awareness, including positioning and basic strategy, with more complex drills like 1v1 situations. Conditioning intensifies with sprints and agility work. My mental toughness lessons cover resilience, teaching recovery from mistakes with techniques like positive self-talk and goal-setting.
Lesson 2-3I build on the basics with passing and receiving drills, introducing teamwork through small-sided games. They can expect light conditioning to improve stamina, and I include a psychology session on handling pressure, teaching them to focus on the present moment during play.

Youth players
Working with kidsI adapt my lessons for kids by using interactive games and storytelling to keep them excited and engaged. I break down tricky concepts into simple, fun ideas they can easily understand, and I use lots of visual aids like pictures and props. I also make sure to give them plenty of praise and encouragement to boost their confidence as they learn.

Working with teenagersFor teenagers, I tailor my lessons to their interests, like connecting topics to music, video games, or current trends they care about. I encourage them to think independently with discussions and hands-on projects, and I adjust my teaching pace to match their maturity. I also focus on building their critical thinking skills to help them grow.

What I can bringI bring cones, balls and midsize goals to set up dynamic drills, along with a GoPro to record your performance. This allows us to review your dribbling, control, passing, and shooting skills together, so you can see your progress and areas to improve.
