I enjoyed how patient she was, and that she made me feel more confident in my abilities. I appreciated the time she took to explain how a professional would do it, how she would do it, and how a lot of people would do it. She explained why pros would use the tactics they would use too. I also liked that she played goalie for me.
Beginner training plan
Your first lessonMy first lessons always focus on exploring what the player(s)’ aspirations are, and ensuring they are able to train the skills which they feel are most important to them. We can work together to figure out what about soccer makes them feel most fulfilled, and train with those ideas in mind. We will start with more basic drills, allowing me to evaluate what the player can start focusing on in order to improve.
Lesson 4-10By the fourth lesson, I will have gained a deeper understanding of the players needs, desired coaching approach, and preferred drills.
Lesson 2-3Starting with the second lesson, we can dive deeper into the players’ expressed goals. This can be as specific or general as needed. For attacking players we can train anything from dribbling 1v1 to free kicks to runs into the box. For defensive players we can focus on visual awareness, aggressiveness, and transitioning into the final third.
