About your soccer coach
I’ve coached 3 seasons of soccer and 1 season of futsal. I have personally played soccer for over 14 years including club and some college. Sports has always been a part of my life. I love soccer because it’s the world’s sport. I am a teacher at heart so helping and seeing people grow in their skills is fun for me!

Beginner training plan
Your first trainingYou can expect me to ask questions to understand more of who you are as a player and where you think you’re at. You can also expect me to “test” your current skill level so I can see where to go from there. Do not expect to learn any new skills on the first lesson. Possibly some “homework” for you to practice.
Training 2-3Follow up with your previously assigned “homework.” Picking 1-2 things to work on that need the most attention.
Training 4-10Asking you how you think you’ve improved and what’s been the hardest to improve in. Ask you what has been helpful and what hasn’t been helpful. Continuing to work on the 1-2 skills that need the most attention and implementing more drills for other areas.
Training 11+More complex/longer drills. Asking if others (coaches, parents, teammates) have noticed your skill improvement. Asking if there’s a specific, new skill you want to learn or improve in.
Youth players
Working with kidsWith kids I try to implement drills that are funner than normal.
Working with teenagersI use their lingo to relate and communicate in their language.
