Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe start of by assessing exactly what level the player is currently at. We then start with the the basics like passing, controlling the ball, juggling the ball and shooting the ball.(an example of a drill would be: setting up three cones in a triangular shape each about 5 yards away and have the player receive the ball on each cone with one touch then passing the ball back and shifting to the next cone. All while trying to be as precise and effective as possible)
Lesson 11+We will always spend a bit of time on perfecting the basics like passing, controlling, shooting and movement off the ball since the game is played mainly with the basics. Given that most players spend about 2 to 3 minutes on the ball during a game it is essential that the basics are performed at the best level possible.
Lesson 4-10From the forth through the tenth lesson we will continue to develop the basics but at a more precise and intense level. We will also start to develop more efficient and effective ways to play with the ball in which mimics what we expect to see in a match.
Lesson 2-3For the second and third sessions we then start to integrate passing, controlling, shooting and movement off the ball all in one. We also start to focus on the players development on what ever position they may play, whether it be defender, midfielder or attacker.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson starts by talking to the player and asking what they need to work on. If the player needs work on checking their shoulder before receiving the ball we then set up the drill. A good example of a drill to learn how to check the shoulder would be: set up 4 cones/agility poles in a square shape, then have the player in the center. The player will now have to check their shoulder as the ball is being played to them and exit the square with a precise first touch avoiding the β€œplayer” marking them.
Lesson 11+With lessons 11+ we will continue to increase intensity and learn new and better ways to apply what we learn in training out on the field.
Lesson 4-10With lessons 4-10 we begin to now start to focus on how to perform the drills and moves that we are incorporating in real game scenarios with much better precision. We start to look at the small details that can help us ether take a touch better and faster or with more precision. At this stage we can also work on any other areas that the player may need help with at the time to better solidify them as a player.
Lesson 2-3With lessons 2-3 we can start increasing the difficulty of the drills by applying more game like scenarios. With the same drill from lesson one as an example, we can increase the difficulty by now calling out what direction to exit the square and also with the kind of touch they should use. For example coach can call out exit right with left foot inside touch or right foot outside touch.

Youth players
Working with kidsWhen working with kids I like to first assess their level as a player. Ones thats establish we modify any drill whether it be an intermediate or advanced drill to better suit the player. Working with kids is more about being patient and learning how to keep them focused while insuring that they learn what is being taught. In my experience working with kids, I’ve had to learn to make drills more kid friendly while still teaching the basics of the game and making it fun for them.

Working with teenagersWhen working with teenagers adapting lessons is much more simple. Teenagers are at an age where they are capable of performing drills and activities at a higher speed and with more agility. While there is still a learning curve between teens and adult players, typically teenagers are able to perform just as well as adults. However if there is a scenario where a teen player isn’t able to adapt we can further tweak a drill to adjust to their level and make it more comfortable.

What you need to bringAny ball that they wish to get used to using. Any other equipment for special request from the player.

What I can bringI can bring cones, balls, mini goals, hurdles and agility poles.
