About your soccer coach

New to the app but experienced player and coach. For over 15 years, I've fostered a love for soccer, guiding players to reach their full potential. My coaching blends skill development with strategic thinking, ensuring a fun and effective learning experience. By implementing my expertise as an educator, and coach, as well as my own soccer experiences, I aim to develop athletes, not just as a player, but as a person well. I am always reflecting on ways to increase my knowledge as a coach. I am confident in my ability to develop your athletes no matter what level. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonAfter short warm-up I typically spend a little time getting to know the player with some basic agiltiy, passing, dribbling and general ball mastery. First step is ensuring proper basic technique. As I learn more about the player I will gradually increase difficulty within the players comfort level. As younger players especially want to score goals always try to incorpate some shooting in various ways during ALL lessons. I also try make ALL drills and activities goal oriented whenever possible.
Lesson 11+Agility warm-up Review ball mastery and and advanced technique. At this stage, I will discuss with the player and parents what our focus will be. As mentioned in lesson 1, shooting will always be embedded into the lesson in some way.
Lesson 4-10Continue to review more advanced techniques learned in lessons 2-3 while adding some more tools to their arsenal. At this stage, I have had enough time to get to know the player as well as interact with parents/ guardians. Lessons would be tailored to the player's strengths and weaknesses moving forward. As mentioned in lesson 1, shooting will always be embedded into the lesson in some way.
Lesson 2-3Agility warm-up Review of what they learned in lesson one. We will then begin working on more advanced techniques and ball mastery. (Oriented first touch, Change of direction, escape moves, attack moves) As mentioned in lesson 1, shooting will always be embedded into the lesson in some way.
Youth players
Working with kidsChildren get into soccer because it's fun Lessons are as goal and game oriented as possible. As mentioned in my plans, I often add shooting aspect, since young players often want to score goals. I keep things simple Less talking more movement. Light 1v1s with coach to practice skills taught.
Working with teenagers Lesson are simple, fun and active no matter the age. Skills and terminology taught will be more advanced depending on the player's level. More 1v1 play against coach to practice skills live scenario. I do expect more attention to directions from older players.
