About your soccer coach

I've been playing soccer for over 10 years, playing throughout all youth levels. I'm currently a collegiate athlete at Concordia University-Wisconsin. I've coached younger kids and I've watched them grow their skills and passion for the game. I have a deep knowledge of the game, making me skilled to coach.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFormat Overview Duration: 60 minutes/session Equipment: 6–10 cones, 2 pop-up goals, 2 balls Focus: Technical base → Real-game decision making Theme: Getting familiar with the ball, movement, and basic control. You focus on: Demonstrating control, showing body positioning. Warm-Up (10 min) Light jog, hip and ankle mobility, ball taps and rolls. Skill Work (25 min) Station 1: Toe taps, inside-outside touches Station 2: Controlled dribbling through cone slalom (2–3 rounds each foot) Station 3: Partner passing (short distance, using inside of foot) Game IQ Moment (10 min) Controlling with first touch sets up next move. Player mimics “receive and move” (no static touches). Wrap-Up (10 min)
Lesson 4-10Lesson 4 - Shooting fundamentals Lesson 5 - Defensive Basics Lesson 6 - Combining Skills: Control —> Pass —> Shoot Lesson 7 - Awareness & Positioning Lesson 8 - 1v1 Attack & Defend Lesson 9 - Small-Space Mastery Lesson 10 - Game Simulation & Review
Lesson 2-3Theme: Dribbling with speed and control. You focus on: Decision-making when to accelerate, when to protect. Warm-Up (10 min) Dynamic footwork and cone weave. Skill Work (30 min) Tight-space dribbling (4 cones, 2 yards apart). Speed dribbling (15-yard bursts, focus on last touch to shoot). Introduce turns: inside cut, outside cut, pullback. Game IQ (10 min) You set “pressure” — close in slowly, player decides whether to cut, shield, or accelerate. Wrap-Up (10 min) Talk about recognizing space and adjusting pace. Theme: First touch control, quick passing, body shape. Warm-Up (10 min) Short passes, increasing tempo every minute. Skill Work (30 min) Pass–receive–turn drill (you pass at different speeds/angles). One-touch challenge (accuracy over 8–10 reps). First-touch direction drill (player receives and pushes ball into open space). Tactical Focus (15 min) Teach how body angle determines next play. Show “open up” stance for forward options.
