About your soccer coach

My first coaching experience would be with F.C. Stars. I would help run various training camps and other similar programs, along with serving as an assistant coach to some of the younger age groups. I also have gained much experience working as a teacher/tutor at Kumon and the Russian School of Mathematics. Most recently, I finished a fantastic fall season with Challenger in the Mass area while doing private coaching with Dribbler on the side. My playing experience peaks at D1 soccer as a striker. I am currently trying to get back into playing and play locally semi-pro.

What I appreciated most in Rebonto’s lesson was the focus on skills training, which really helped me improve my technique. The session was well-structured and engaging, making it easy to follow. I definitely recommend giving Rebonto’s lessons a try if you want to sharpen your soccer abilities and enjoy learning in a supportive environment. ⚽️

"I just wanted to send a message of gratitude for the Challenger Coach who worked with the Gr3&4 on Monday evenings last night and the previous week(s). I didn't catch his name but he was INCREDIBLE! He was encouraging and supportive and thoughtful! He was upbeat and I want my kids around more people like that in this world! As we left practice last night, I told my kids about how wonderful it is to be around people who build others up and are encouraging."

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonAs players will have all sorts of different starting points, the first lesson usually consists of an assessment regarding dribbling, passing, shooting, etc. This being said, the most important thing is developing that strong foundation and love for the sport regardless of the starting point.
Lesson 11+Fantastic making this far! This is where I will try to teach and help implement both certain ball skills and positionial tips and tricks. Depending on what position is favored or most suited, we will start drills catered to that position.
Lesson 4-10By now a solid foundation/goal will be there, so we start to work towards more technical drills focusing on ways to further turn weaknesses into strengths and replicate game day situations if possible. One aspect I personally found valuable was becoming a player with no weak foot, so that is something I will push for as well.
Lesson 2-3Every session will start with a short physical warm up and some footwork (usually ladder work). Early sessions will see a mix on focusing on player/parent concerns (if applicable) and or building comfort with the ball. Regardless of position, I strongly encourage building comfort with the ball through dribbling/passing as confidence with the ball is very valuable aspect in my experience.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonFor advanced players, I put an emphasis on skill building and developing a solid work ethic. First session will deal with assessment as well as developing understanding between player and coach.

Youth players
Working with kidsFor younger ages groups my primary goal is to develop a love for the sport and building confidence.

Working with teenagersTeenage years are very important in terms of skill building and where the sport can become quite serious. My prior d1 and semi-pro experience helps a lot when working to bridge the gap between talent and game-ready performance.

What you need to bringCleats (if possible), water, ball (sometimes kids will use smaller size balls)

What I can bringI bring a ball, cones, and other soccer related equipment.
