About your softball coach

Marc began his softball journey playing recreationally before transitioning to coaching in 1980, starting with Little League. He learned the fundamentals of coaching through a coaching clinic and has since coached all levels, from T-ball to 16-and-under girls' softball. Marc’s biggest strength lies in teaching defensive skills, and he prides himself on creating a fun, engaging environment for young players, though he knows when to get serious to ensure progress. Marc also participated in a coaching group that traveled to the Dominican Republic to assist with youth clinics, further expanding his impact on the sport.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFind out what the player and the responsible adults need. Learn the current age and the participating level. Basic warmups to see what skill the player has.
Lesson 11+Show the player how the skill levels have increased. Review all game situations Help the player understand that the better improvement will help the team. I believe that winning a game is a good thing, but learning and continuing to learn will improve the ability and confidence. A good attitude could impress teammates and that might urge them to learn as well. I want the player to know why a mistake was made and why the play was done correctly.
Lesson 4-10Continue to do drills with more intensity. I expect the player to know what is needed for game situations
