Master the fundamentals of wave riding while having a blast! After 23 years of surfing I find teaching people is as rewarding as riding the best waves. My career includes surfing on Maui, Oregon Coast, Great Lakes, and of course all over California. Competitively I won the first time competitors event at the 2024 Carolina Pro Am. Seraina
Greg taught me how to paddle out on a bigger day by using deeper water to our advantage. He then told me where to sit with great precision so I would be able to catch my first overhead wave. Once in a lifetime experience.

Greg was extremely welcoming, communicative, and knowledgeable of the Ocean. He broke down surfing into a step by step process that made it simple to understand and execute all while entertaining us with jokes for the hour and a half we were out. Overall awesome experience!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonLand lesson will be anywhere from 15-20 minutes which will include ocean awareness, safety tips, paddling, pop up, and understanding how different body movements affect the surfboard over waves.
Lesson 11+More knowledge of different kinds of waves, boards, spots. At this point the student will know whether they want to ride a longboard, shortboard, or SUP surfboard which dictates what kind of surfing we will be doing.
Lesson 4-10More proficient Pop ups, going right or left down the face of the wave, and pumping up and down the wave.
Lesson 2-3Proficient pop ups going down the face of the wave parallel going right or left, keeping the head up and reading what the wave is doing.
What you need to bringBring wetsuit if possible- otherwise arrangements can be made with communication.
