Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFocus on comfort and trust water acclimation, blowing bubbles, and short submersions, all at the child’s pace. Lots of praise, no rushing. By the end, most are okay putting their face in and kicking with support.
Lesson 2-3Front/back floats with support, basic kicking on the wall and with a kickboard. Start submersion with eyes open and short breath-holds, and work on flat, relaxed body position.
Lesson 4-10Move toward independent floats and glides, combine kicks with arm movement, and introduce basic rotary breathing. Add swim-float-swim safety skills while reducing physical support.
What you need to bringA swimsuit, towel, and goggles. Sunscreen and a water bottle are recommended for outdoor lessons.
