What energized me was the clear mix of learning both mechanics and strategy. Eric’s explanations were simple to grasp and apply right away. His lessons are a great way to build confidence and skill on the court. If you want to deepen your understanding of pickleball, trying a session with Eric is definitely worth it. 👌

The was helpful, actually. I got to learn some basic techniques and think through game strategies a bit, which was pretty good. Building on that foundation would be the next step. If you're into sharpening skills, Eric might be worth trying out.

Eric is amazing! He’s very friendly, full of energy, and makes every pickleball class fun for the kids. My kids absolutely love learning from him and always look forward to his sessions. Even when he takes a short break, we don’t mind waiting his lessons are totally worth it. He’s simply the best!

Honestly, I think Eric's approach really works. He's an excellent coach, especially for someone new to pickleball like me. The lesson helped me understand the game better, and I appreciate his patience and clear explanations. Though I could still improve, I feel more confident about my skills now. To improve even more, I suppose I’ll need to keep practicing what we covered. Still, I’d say giving him a try is worth it if you’re looking to get a solid start.

Eric is very easy to work with very insightful. I especially appreciated how he highlighted the importance of positioning during volleys. I’d suggest giving Eric a try if you're looking for a calm, focused learning experience in pickleball. 💕

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonDiscuss coaching goals for the player, racquet / paddle sport history and relevant experience, proper paddle grip style, pre-game warmups, skill assessments, basic rules and shot selection, serving. For first lessons, I use the Play-Practice-Play model, so students can feel immediate areas of improvement for their skills.
Lesson 11+Targeted improvement strategies to elevate what players do Video feedback and "homework assignments" for areas of improvement and continuous feedback. At this stage, we will frequently focus on one skill for an entire session.
Lesson 4-10Drills and exercises which mimic in-game scenarios that a student will encounter, decision making, technique improvement, video analysis, gameplay with other players your skill level to address the highest areas for potential improvement.
Lesson 2-3By this time, we should understand your competencies and areas for improvement. Lessons will focus on basic form and body mechanics, strategic concepts, unforced error reduction. Lessons 2-3 are as much about success seeking and highlighting a players strong traits as they are about limiting unforced errors.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonAdvanced players typically want help with specific tactics, shots or strokes. As a result, we will most likely spend our lesson focused on a single stroke or skill, reviewing footage, making corrections where applicable and discussing how specific footwork limits available shots and decision making. For advanced first lessons, we would want to heavily rely on video feedback, using both in-game scenarios and practice sessions.

Youth players
Working with kidsKeep it very simple, using teaching games and fun activities for fast paced training sessions. My goal is to tire the kids out with engaging games while developing the solid foundations for any racquet / paddle sport including ball control, footwork and paddle skills.

What you need to bringNon-marking court shoes, water and snacks, hats and sunglasses, your favorite paddle. Expect that I might ask you to try techniques or concepts that may be new to you. This is ok as a developing learner, I believe in you. :)

What I can bringI typically bring 4 or more demo paddles, cones / targets, a cart with 100+ balls, electrolyte mix, hats, safety glasses, recording equipment and patience.
