About your tennis coach

I have a passion for working with students and helping them learn. Witnessing my players' growth and development as individuals gives me a tremendous sense of accomplishment. When I can positively influence their skills, I feel fulfilled in my role as a coach. Additionally, I strive to foster a friendly and supportive relationship with my players, as I believe that being seen as a friend first, then a coach, is crucial for maximizing the learning potential and making lessons engaging and enjoyable for the students. In group lessons, I incorporate diverse group exercises to enhance the overall learning experience.

Outstanding teacher - very specific and helpful lesson. Within a short amount of time, I was able to understand where I needed to improve and work on those areas.

Great experience! Ali is attentive and very encouraging. He adjusts the lesson based on your skill level and goals, which makes a huge difference. Would definitely recommend him to anyone serious about improving!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI start with a warm-up and light hand-fed drills to assess coordination, grip, and footwork. We go over basic strokes—forehand, backhand—and introduce court layout, scoring, and rules. The goal is to keep it fun and stress-free while laying the foundation.
Lesson 11+By now, beginners are rallying more consistently and learning how to construct points. I introduce full-court drills, match play, and strategy basics. Lessons focus on developing strengths, improving stamina, and preparing for recreational or competitive play.
Lesson 4-10Players work on improving technique, adding volleys, overheads, and serve returns. I begin light point play to introduce real game scenarios. We also focus on correcting habits and developing rhythm and timing.
Lesson 2-3Beginners learn how to rally with control using forehand and backhand. We practice footwork, positioning, and introduce the serve. I include fun games like "mini tennis" and targeted drills to build consistency and confidence.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonIn the first lesson, I evaluate the player's technique, footwork, and overall consistency through rally-based drills. I also ask about their goals and experience to tailor the training plan.
Lesson 11+Lessons become highly personalized and competitive. We simulate match play, introduce pressure drills, and continue refining both strengths and weaknesses to elevate overall performance and match readiness.
Lesson 4-10Training intensifies with point-play scenarios, advanced patterns, serve + return drills, and mental focus techniques. We track progress closely and fine-tune strategy, consistency, and shot selection.
Lesson 2-3We focus on reinforcing strong fundamentals while identifying key areas for improvement—whether it’s timing, grip, or shot placement. I begin introducing more advanced footwork and situational hitting.

Youth players
Working with kidsI introduce full-court drills, match play, and strategy basics. Lessons focus on developing strengths, improving stamina, and preparing for recreational or competitive play.

Working with teenagersWith teens, I balance technical training with strategy and match play. I adapt my coaching style to their goals—whether it's learning fundamentals, preparing for school teams, or refining advanced skills.
