For over 45 years, I've passionately played the game I adore. For the past six years I gave up my career as a writer to teach tennis. I have been trained in Great Base teaching and love passing on my knowledge to others. Whether you are a beginner or an elite player I would love to work with you.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonReally just focus on technique. I am a big believer of a circular swing so would focus on that. Probably would not get to serving.
Lesson 11+They should be able to drop Fred themselves, rally and understand the serve.
Lesson 4-10Hopefully by now we could start rallying The goal is 10 balls before proceeding We will start slowly with the serve.
Lesson 2-3Everyone learns at their own pace. You have to crawl first. We will not leave forehands until you can hit one.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonWe would start out with just hitting to see if we need to tweak any technical aspects.
Lesson 11+We should finish with point construction and point play. Now we are ready for tournaments.
Lesson 4-10By this time we should be fine tuned on groundstrokes. I don't want to leave it before we can rally. Next step is to talk about patterns and develop our serve.
Lesson 2-3It really depends on the individual but I would start out with consistent groundstrokes. Can we keep 10 balls in the court?
Youth players
Working with kidsI have vast experience in teaching red ball, orange ball and green ball. It is important for the kids to have fun and love the sport.
Working with teenagersI am a high school coach so I primarily work with this age group. They just want to get out and compete but we got to have the technique down first. It is still important they have fun and play games!
