About your tennis coach
I'm a highly accomplished tennis coach with over 30 years of experience and a passion for developing players of all levels. My career highlights include being named USTA Midwest Coach of the Year in 2024 and coaching a World #1 ITF/USTA junior player who dominated prestigious tournaments like the Easter Bowl, Copper Bowl, and Junior Grand Slams. I've also coached on the USTA Pro Circuit, led winning college teams, and guided high school boys to a state championship title. My expertise extends beyond the competitive arena, as I've also served as a celebrity coach for individuals in the music and entertainment industry. I'm dedicated to sharing my knowledge and passion for tennis, helping players achieve their goals through a focus on technical excellence, tactical awareness, and mental strength.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI’m more interested in what you can do naturally than what I can make you do because I’ve played tennis my whole life. Our first lesson is all about me finding out about your God-given natural gifts. 
Lesson 11+Learning how to use your serve to set up your strengths to develop Matchplay combinations will be an advanced concept. Also looking at your service return positions and how to set up your strength for the return of serve to start the point off well for the “most difficult shot in Tennis”, which is the return of serve.

BUT
“ if you cannot return, you cannot play very long”
It’s going to be over quick, so I’m gonna make sure you’re ready to make that other person beat you ( if they can❗️☝️😂 ) instead of you beating yourself.
Lesson 4-10The Most important shot in Tennis is the serve ❗️☝️and I’m going to make sure that your serve is not only efficient but aesthetically acceptable. The serve is the one shot where you will be judged as a player, and I want to make sure that you feel confident, not only because of accuracy, but also because of a professional and acceptable appearance. 
Lesson 2-3The first thing I’m going to do is show you Your best strength and the most efficient way to win points. I believe in Matchplay first and then technique will come as we develop your skills. 
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonLearning the advanced footwork that makes professional players seem like they’re always ready and in proper position to hit the ball well. If you can’t get to the ball, you can’t hit the ball.🎾❗️☝️
Lesson 11+Looking at the business side of Tennis and making sure that you’re ready for sponsorships and that you have a budget and understand what it’s going to take to travel and play on a national junior level or on a semi professional or full professional schedule. The lifestyle of travel and training has to be learned and it has to be financed, and that is a professional aspect that I am well trained in and prepared to deliver that knowledge to players and families.
Lesson 4-10How proper nutrition and scheduling your training on court and off court to peak for performances for Tournaments and Matchplay. Making sure that you set a proper competitive schedule. 
Lesson 2-3Basic conditioning with an emphasis on athletic training. The better athlete you are the better you will be able to play tennis and every other sport. 
Youth players
Working with kidsI’m a very holistic coach and I want to know what these children have inside of them to play naturally. I’m much more concerned with the joy 🤩 of tennis 🎾 at a young age, and the children seeing their own success and greatness as soon as possible.
Working with teenagersThe teenage years are really incredible because this is the opportunity for children to speak for themselves and let me know what kind of direction they’re looking to take their game and style of play. I’m ready to hear what young adults have to say about how serious they want to take their tennis game. The pathway for college tennis is different than a pathway for professional tennis, and we all have to be on the same page in order to create the most success possible . I’m a father of three children, and I think that uniquely prepares me to work with children as well as a classroom teacher for special education. I have been fully trained by my own children and professionally trained in a classroom to listen to young adults and prepare them for success on and off the tennis court
