Jason’s a wonderful instructor, very patient and knowledgeable about tennis—both in its history as well as the technical aspects. I appreciate his teaching technique as well, it’s very intentional, which makes it easy to see the areas I need to improve, I see progress every week :)

I found the lesson quite helpful, especially with Jason’s support and friendly guidance, his strategies really stood out. Though I still want to work more on my backhand to better feel the ball, I do appreciate the resources he provided. Still, I think trying more of his tips could really make a difference. If you're looking for constructive advice, Jason’s approach is worth a try.

How it works

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFor our first lesson, we start off with the fundamentals: forehands and backhands. I'll break each stroke down into terms that are easy to understand and go over our grip, stances, positioning, and timing.
Lesson 11+In future lessons, I introduce more complex strategies seen in doubles match play, as well as other shots, such as slices, drop-volleys, and overheads. We will continue refining our fundamentals each lesson as well.
Lesson 4-10Throughout these lessons, I introduce volleys and serves. We continue to work on our fundamentals as well, refining footwork and technique.
Lesson 2-3For the next few lessons, I introduce targeting, which allows me to watch closely for the player's strengths and weaknesses.

Youth players
Working with kidsI adapt my lessons by creating more basic and easier to understand lessons, trying to work mainly on fundamentals and learning proper techniques.

Working with teenagersI adapt my lessons by making them more engaging. I also work on improving fundamentals and techniques.

About your tennis coach

I managed the girls' varsity tennis team for two years in high school, preparing them for matches and major competitions alongside the head coach. As a player, I competed in intense district and state-level matches on the boys' varsity team. Additionally, I recruited new members for both teams over the summer and dedicated several hours each week to match play.
