I have known Jean Darcel for over 10 years. He is an amazing tennis coach both technically and personality wise. He is patient and always upbeat and positive. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonDrill to discover hand eye coordination and physical aptitude.
Lesson 11+Beginning to work on net volleys to then then service
Lesson 4-10Forehand dril from baseline and introduction of the service line backhand drills.
Lesson 2-3Establish forehand control from the service line from standstill to hand feed.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonWork on developing all components of the game. Hit a few rallies and discuss a plan to improve specific areas of the student game.
Lesson 11+Concentration drills and game assimilation. Work on technique and court conditioning
Lesson 4-10Advance players drill F&Bh inside out as well as inside in. Work on service and location of serve
Lesson 2-3Advance drills to develop and correct specific components of the student weakness.
Youth players
Working with kidsWorking with children I work with different compression balls based on their age and game level. My aim is fun and progress.
Working with teenagersI like group approach for the beginner teenagers. Work on fun games for eye hand coordination as well as movement. As they progress the individual player could branch into a development program.

About your tennis coach

In 1994, I began my journey as a tennis coach with a USTA rating of 3.5, eager to share my love for the game with young beginners. Over the years, I honed my skills and passion, participating in club tournaments up to a 4.5 rating. 2009 I completed a PTR certification program, further enhancing my coaching abilities. Since then, I've taught thousands of enthusiastic players, from kindergarten to high school, in private after-school programs. While I also work with adults, my greatest joy comes from witnessing the improvement of my students, focusing on both the fun aspects of the game and the development of great skills.
