Joe
Mariana and I reconnected during Covid with the goal of being part of the Davis Cup for Trinidad and Tobago. With her dedication and commitment to achieving our goal we were a team. This resulted in my significant progress allowing for a successful tournament representing my country. Coach Mariana’s mental coaching goes hand in hand with on court performance and I would recommend her to anyone.
Sam
Training with her has been one of my greatest joys this year. I can’t wait for the alarm to go off in the morning to go train with her. She’s always so positive and makes everything so easy to learn. She’s my favorite tennis coach!
Janet
My daughter always had talent, but Mariana showed her how to channel it. As a parent, it’s amazing to see her grow more focused, resilient, and excited about tennis. We’re beyond grateful.
Alex
What makes Mariana different is her attention to detail and her ability to simplify things. She helped me level up fast.
Ethan
I’ve worked with many coaches, but Mariana’s insight and support stand out. She actually gets what competitors go through because she’s done it herself.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonIn the first lesson, I focus on helping the player feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn. We cover basic grip, footwork, and the foundation of key strokes like forehand and backhand. I’ll also assess coordination, athleticism, and mindset so I can tailor future lessons to their pace and learning style.
Lesson 11+Players learn how to keep score, play short points, and improve their reactions through fun game-based drills. I begin incorporating strategy, court awareness, and mindset habits to build confidence.
Lesson 4-10Ideally by now, we begin rallying skills, and serve technique. Learning volleys and feeling comfortable coming into the net.
Lesson 2-3We build consistency in contact. Players start learning how to control depth, direction, and swing shape. These lessons also include technique and footwork patterns to improve balance and readiness.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonWith advanced players, I begin by assessing strengths, weaknesses, and current playing identity. We hit all major strokes to evaluate consistency, decision-making, and mental habits. From there, I create a custom roadmap to elevate their game.
Lesson 11+ It’s all about performance. We refine advanced patterns, develop weapons, and analyze match footage if available. We focus on emotional composure, adapting game plans, and consistently competing at a higher level. These sessions are built to help players win, not just hit better.
Lesson 4-10Here, we sharpen execution and build tactical depth. Sessions emphasize high-intensity rallying, situational serving, return patterns, and exposing opponent weaknesses. We simulate match conditions to improve performance under pressure and refine match-day readiness.
Lesson 2-3We dive into advanced technique and tactical execution. Sessions include movement-based live drills, decision training, and point construction under game-like scenarios. We also address mental performance: routines, focus, and competitive mindset.

Youth players
Working with kidsWhen working with kids, I focus on building a strong foundation through fun but purposeful challenges. Each session is designed to improve their balance, coordination, fitness, and footwork, key skills that support long-term development. Once those fundamentals are in place, we layer in technique and stroke mechanics. I keep things upbeat and engaging while helping young players build the physical and mental base they need to grow with confidence.

Working with teenagersWhen working with teenagers, I incorporate a strong fitness component to develop their speed, strength, and stability, crucial for performance and injury prevention. Sessions are designed to challenge them both physically and mentally, while refining their technique, footwork, and strategic thinking. We work on point construction, shot selection, and match-day mindset so they’re not just hitting better, but competing smarter. Every session is about progress, accountability, and pushing toward their full potential.

What you need to bringWater, a great attitude and desire to play tennis. Tennis racquet (if you have one)

What I can bringTennis balls, and extra racquets in case you need them.
