Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI will teach the fundamentals of tennis. How to hit forehands and backhands should be covered the first lesson. I will teach how the score is kept and how to play.
Lesson 11+We can work on the improving any and all aspects of your game including constructing points. Any weaknesses you may have can be improved as well as developing your strengths into weapons in order to win.
Lesson 4-10By about the fourth lesson we can get into the mental side of things. Tennis is a thinking sport so it’s important to know where to hit the ball as well as how to hit the ball.
Lesson 2-3By the second or third lesson we can work on volleys and how to get into extended rallies as well as shot selection.
Youth players
Working with kidsI use the 10 and under tennis teaching method that is recognized as the industry standard by the USTA. For ages 4-6 years old I use red balls and a modified net. For ages 7-10 I use orange balls on a modified court. For ages 11-12 I use green balls on the standard court. Any teenager would use regular balls.
