Beginner training plan
Your first lessonJust starting off with good hand-eye coordination drills. Drills usually incorporate basic movements of forehand and backhand strokes emphasizing good balance, shoulder turn and hitting through the ball.
Lesson 2-3Working on adding beyond the basics of how spin affects your game. Analyzing how the customer wants to play the game to recommend grips of use.
Lesson 4-10After the introduction of grips with learning to volley and serve. Volleys are completely opposite of groundstrokes so learning to use the right grips and working on consistency. While serves are practiced, start by merely getting them used to the continental grip and later explanation of how to hit a serve in.
Lesson 11+Depending on if they are ready, the 3 serves, flat, slice and kicker serves. Working on short balls and following up at the net for winners.
What you need to bringJust a racket and a good pair of shoes for running.
What I can bringRed and orange balls for kids and beginners. Tennis ladder and comes for footwork drills and warmup. Baskets for picking up Tennis balls easier.
