Advanced training plan
Your first lessonOne of the things I like most about toms content is that it is progression-based. Rather than simply demonstrating a drill or technique, he breaks each area of the game down into simple stages and then progressively adds movement, decision-making and more realistic point situations as the player develops. Toms volley progressions, for example, begin with the fundamentals of the ready position, grip and racket setup before introducing the split step and forward movement. From there, the player progresses into approach shots, first volleys, second volleys and ultimately finishing the point at the net. He takes a similar approach with the backhand slice, initially developing the movement through the backhand volley before progressing to a volley after the bounce, the complete slice action, lateral movement and eventually a reliable, match-ready backhand slice.
Lesson 2-3Players alternate between volleys and groundstrokes, learning to move efficiently between a Continental and forehand grip while changing from soft hands and touch to acceleration and power. Developing these grip changes naturally while moving and reacting to different balls is an important part of tennis for Under-10 players and helps lay the foundations for a complete all-court game. This content will form part of a dedicated Player Development Program that we're beginning to build out with considerably more content to be added over time.
Lesson 4-10 Tom was a serve-and-volleyer himself, so we spent a lot of time going deep into volleys, transition play and how players can become more effective moving forward. He shared some incredible insights and drills, and I’m really excited for you We’ve taken the forehand apart piece by piece and organised everything in a logical, sequential order, creating more than 100 videos covering virtually every aspect of the shot. That includes forehand grips, ready position and unit turn, take-back and power position, racket drop and lag, contact point, leg drive and hip rotation, racket-head speed, straight-arm vs. double-bend forehands, the finish, every major type of forehand footwork, situation-specific forehands, common mistakes, forehand strategy, developing the forehand as a weapon, hand-feeding drills, live-ball drills and much more.
Lesson 11+Get ready for tournament’s and school team workouts

Thomas is an amazing coach! My daughter and a couple of friends did group lessons and the girl absolutely loved him. My daughter gets intimidated and is very hard on herself in that kind of setting in Thomas was able to give her confidence that she needed every time and snapped her out of that moment. He was very patient which I love because everybody learns it different paces I highly recommend him.

I took several private lessons from Tom, and I found him to be knowledgeable, insightful, and good at communicating. The pacing of his lessons pushed me without frustrating me. He has a great sense of humor, too.
