That lesson with Valdrez was quite focused, especially with the competitive drills and setting clear expectations, ending with an intense rally that really tested my limits. I think doing more of the same approach could be pretty helpful, though I still hope future lessons will build on this momentum. How it works
Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI'm usually focusing on the grips needed on each stroke and them making contact with the ball correctly
Lesson 11+To continue to get better and eventually compete in future events. Maybe joining a team that could use that skill level of play at that time.
Lesson 4-10More complicated drills that may require extra footwork and timing to accelerate their gameplay.
Lesson 2-3To see a little progress on every stroke we are working on
Youth players
Working with kidsI have a 4 year old son that I'm working with and he is coming along pretty good. Have to make the lesson fun and enjoyable to keep his attention on the court
Working with teenagersTeenagers are pretty easy to work with. It's just the matter of keeping them working on their game outside the lessons given.
What you need to bringJust need to bring a raquet but I do keep spare raquets available just in case.
