Your first lessonYour first lesson with me will be all about getting comfortable with the violin and setting a strong foundation. Whether youâre brand new to the instrument or have some experience, Iâll guide you step by step so you feel confident and excited to play.
Weâll start by getting to know your musical background and goals, and Iâll introduce you to the basics of the violin and bow. Iâll show you how to hold them properly, and weâll go through some simple exercises to help you feel at ease.
From there, youâll learn how to produce a clear soundâstarting with plucking the strings (pizzicato) and moving on to bowing open strings. Weâll also work on coordination, rhythm, and listening skills in a way thatâs fun and approachable. By the end of the lesson, youâll have a few simple exercises to practice at home so you can start building confidence right away.

Lesson 2-3Now that youâve had your first lesson and are getting familiar with the violin, weâll start building on what youâve learned. In Lessons 2 and 3, weâll focus on refining your posture, bow hold, and sound production to make sure youâre developing good habits from the start.
Youâll begin working on smooth bowing, playing simple rhythms, and using your left-hand fingers to place notes on the fingerboard. Weâll introduce basic scales and short melodies to help you get comfortable with finger placement and coordination. If youâre brand new to reading music, Iâll guide you through that too, step by step.
Most importantly, Iâll tailor these lessons to your progressâeveryone learns at their own pace! Iâll make sure you have clear, achievable practice goals so you always know what to work on between lessons.
By the end of Lesson 3, youâll have a solid foundation and be well on your way to playing simple songs with confidence. My goal is to keep things fun, motivating, and rewarding while helping you build strong technique from the very beginning.
