Stephanie
With Coach Leyden's help, I transformed my serve into a consistent, reliable strength in games. He challenged me to work on my blocking and spiking in the front row, and encouraged me to play both front and back row positions so I could develop as a versatile player. I always felt seen and supported in my growth.
Ananya
Coach Leyden helped me develop better front-row techniques, encouraging me to block and spike with confidence. He also made sure I played both front and back row positions, believing I could be successful at both and always balancing my practice to improve all my skills.
Bella
Coach Leyden separated me from my usual teammate during drills because he genuinely believed in my leadership. He saw the potential in my defensive skills and encouraged me to take charge on the court, helping me grow as both a player and a leader.
Khloe
Coach Leyden inspired me to try the front row, focusing on blocking and spiking instead of just playing it safe. He rotated me through both front and back row positions during practice, helping me use my potential in every area of the game.
Venice
Coach Leyden understood my strengths and focused on making my underhand serve consistent. Instead of pushing me to switch to an overhand serve like my teammates, he boosted my confidence and made me a solid contributor to the team.
Ceyla
Coach Leyden taught me the techniques and gave me the confidence to play the front row. Thanks to him, I learned to block and spike instead of just sending over free balls. His belief in my abilities really pushed me to excel.

Beginner training plan
Your first lesson-Fundamental rules of the game of Volleyball -Fundamental Technique -Passing (Bumping & Setting) -Serving (Underhand and Overhand)
Lesson 11+-Continued skills (Focused on more specific positional skills) -Continued positioning (Serve & Serve receive, where to move during play when switch from Offense to Defense) -Passing when ball goes overhead, deep backcourt requiring to pass with back towards the net -Digging (defensive Bump pass) -Hitting/Spiking (Front row) and Down balls (Back row) -Situatuonal game play
Lesson 4-10-Continued Passing (directed to Setter) -Continued Serving (Float and/or Topspin) -Positioning (Serve & Serve receive) -Passing when ball goes overhead, deep backcourt requiring to pass with back towards the net -Digging (defensive Bump pass) -Hitting/Spiking (Front row) and Down balls (Back row)
Lesson 2-3-Fundamental Techniques covered in Lesson 1 -Continued Passing and Serving -Choosing the type of Serve to stick with -Over/free ball returns -Rotations & how to Substitute

Advanced training plan
Your first lesson-Check fundamental skills -Work on positional skills (front row/back row positions) -Receiving free balls, passing to Setter (Setters transition from defense to offensive position)
Lesson 11+-Digging (Back row) (passing to Setter/ up to area Setter can make a good set) -Digging tips/partial blocks (1st priority getting the ball up, 2nd attempt to maintain a chance to set up a play where someone can set, 3rd getting the ball up to the Setter) -Hitting/Spiking/Tipping (Front row) (Aim Hit for specific area on court, Adjusting hit attempt based on the set and Blockers, Hitting off the Blockers) -Scenario play (awareness on positioning, where to pass, where to Hit) -Live gameplay (with enough players, desired of at least 4v4)
Lesson 4-10-Continued Passing to Setter (transitioning from defense to offense) -Positioning and transitioninng from Serve & Serve receive -Digging (Back row) (passing to Setter/ up to area Setter can make a good set) -Digging tips/partial blocks (1st priority getting the ball up, 2nd attempt to maintain a chance to set up a play where someone can set, 3rd getting the ball up to the Setter) -Hitting/Spiking/Tipping (Front row) (Aim Hit for specific area on court, Adjusting hit attempt based on the set and Blockers, Hitting off the Blockers) -Scenario play (awareness on positioning, where to pass, where to Hit) -Live gameplay (with enough players, desired of at least 4v4)
Lesson 2-3-Continued Passing to Setter and Serving -Improving Serve (Power/Consistency) -Positioning (Serve & Serve receive) -Passing when ball goes overhead, deep backcourt requiring to pass with back towards the net -Digging (defensive Bump pass) -Hitting/Spiking (Front row) and Down balls (Back row)

Youth players
Working with kidsThe primary focus with younger and smaller kids is working on proper fundamentals technique of skills (bumping, setting and serving) and communicating to keep the ball in play on defense and directional hitting for offense as size limits net attacks of Hitting and Spiking.

Working with teenagersAfter fundamentals skills are established. Focus shifts to more advanced Serving (topspin & jump serves), positioning on serve and serve receive and transition to set positions during live play with transitioning from offence to defense. This includes more advanced net play of hitting/spiking and blocking and also digging. With more advanced skill comes more advanced strategies and set plays to attack rather than just keeping the ball up and over the net.

What you need to bringHydration (water, Gatorade, etc) Kneepads (optional more so indoors) Sunscreen (optional for outside)

What I can bring1 Volleyball (currently, will expand when necessary) Ball pump Sunscreen (if outside)
