I am from Chicago IL, I an a recent graduate from Joliet Junior College where I played short stop and second base, R/L hand hitter, and competed in the 2023 NJCAA World Series in New York. Along with my experience in softball, I am a behavioral technician who works with individuals with autism. I have a passion for softball and am excited to teach the next generation of great athletes.
With over two decades shaping players, I bring a wealth of baseball expertise to every session. My coaching philosophy blends skill development with a deep love for the game. I aim to build confident athletes.
My name is Chris Humphreys, and I am 20 years old. Baseball has been a lifelong passion of mine, shaping who I am both on and off the field. Growing up, I had the opportunity to train at the USA Baseball Headquarters in Cary, North Carolina, where I competed in national trial games and came within one step of earning a spot on the U.S. National Team. Throughout high school, I was a highly regarded prospect, drawing interest from programs such as Grand Canyon University, New Mexico State University, the University of Arizona, and other top schools across the West Coast. I ultimately continued my baseball career at South Mountain Community College in Phoenix, Arizona. Although a torn labrum in my throwing shoulder impacted my playing career, it fueled my desire to stay involved in the game through coaching and player development. My passion now lies in helping young athletes grow—teaching not only the physical aspects of baseball but also the mental side that separates good players from great ones. I believe success in baseball comes from mastering both physical and mental repetitions. My goal as a coach is to guide players toward understanding that balance, developing their skills, confidence, and knowledge of the game to reach their full potential.
