I’m Coach Denzel Jones, founder of Hoop Dynasty, with over 10 years of basketball coaching and player development experience. I’ve coached more than 60 teams and helped numerous athletes earn college scholarships through personalized skill training and discipline. My approach focuses on meeting each player where they are — whether they’re just starting or preparing for high-level competition. I specialize in ball handling, shooting form, footwork, core and leg strength, and game IQ. For fifty years, I've had the privilege of sharing my love of basketball with players of all levels. My coaching philosophy centers on building fundamental skills while fostering a passion for the game that lasts a lifetime. I've played at all levels in basketball starting on the playground, getting cut from my freshman team to starting and leading my high school team to the state tournament. I was recruited by and eventually signed to go to Rutgers University where AI started all four years. From there I was drafted to the Cleveland Cavilers. I played 10 years in the NBA before having to retire from the game I love. After the NBA, I started working with the NBA Players Association where we started the Top 100 Basketball Camp which is hailed as the best camp in Basketball. We used our camp to elevate the game of a number of NBA Players starting with our first year where we had the late great Kobe Bryant. Over the next 30 we've had over 150 plus NBA Players attend the camp. Let's work together to elevate your game.
