I played 4 years of varsity golf at Wheaton North High School and then 4 years of college golf at Olivet Nazarene University. After graduating college with a B.S. in Sport Management, I decided to go after full time professional golf. I played professionally on the Midwest Golf Tour and on the SwingThought Tour from 2019-2022. In 2022, my wife and I welcomed our first child and I happily moved on from playing professionally and began my career in teaching. With me, you are getting an instructor with over 1,000 lesson hours of experience, and you are getting competitive knowledge from a player who has won tournaments at the high school, college, and mini-tour professional levels.

My name is Patrick Cahill and I have been in the PGA for over 6 years now. My career started in Charlotte, NC and has now brought me to Jacksonville, FL to continue to teach the game that love. Through his passion for golf and coaching, John has excelled as an accomplished instructor for two decades in the Ponte Vedra and Jacksonville area. John was instrumental in the start, development and growth of the McCumber Golf Academy at the University of North Florida in 2009. John, along with Josh McCumber, a collegiate All American and Tour Professional, developed the Academy to further enhance the North Florida golf community through the highest quality instruction. His understanding of the complexities of the golf swing, cause and effect and his talent for motivating students of all ages has consistently resulted in their improved performance. In 2013, John incorporated Berardi Golf at the Ponte Vedra Golf and Country Club at Sawgrass (now The Yards), realizing his lifelong goal of owning and running his own golf academy. That continues full circle now back teaching at the UNF Golfplex. John has a clear vision for mentoring young and old players alike, helping them meet their full potential and achieve their goals.
