"First off, I had been looking for a golf coach for over six months and was getting nowhere. Either they didn't have patience for me as a complete beginner or they were extremely expensive; either way I didn't find a good match. My golf experience is limited to Topgolf - I had never been taught how to properly swing a club. Just a single session with Carlos totally changed that for me. In a simple and easy to understand way Carlos walked me through proper grip, foot positioning, and the fundamental golf stroke mechanics. Half way through our lesson I was able to put it all together and began hitting the ball in a way I’d never experienced before. It was a great experience. As a beginner who needed to learn how to properly swing a club and get comfortable doing so, Carlos instruction was excellent. I would recommend him to anyone in a similar position!

I’m gonna tell you right now, if you want the best coach, book Carlos. In 3 months, he turned me from a complete beginner, to somebody who is ready to go onto the golf course and play. He taught me all the fundamentals, and was patient to teach me throughout my journey. I went from somebody who could barely hit the ball/or was scared to, to somebody who is confident with their swing and swing so easily with ease. He taught me the enjoyment of golf and he can teach anybody too. Did lessons with him every week and would 100% recommend. Book him and you won’t regret it.

Great lesson yesterday with Carlos! He has continued to work with me the irons. We worked on swing tenique, set up, and follow through. We have worked on these for the past three months. Not always in the exact same way. He has always varied the lessons, but the core techniques were always in the lesson plan. Maybe all of this is finally sinking in. Had my 4th lesson with Carlos on Saturday. I think we had the big breakthrough that I had been looking for. Carlos set up his phone behind my mat to video my swing, club speed, and ball distance. After several swings, he showed me that my backswing came behind me too much, making the club path intersect the ball at a bad angle. That’s why I hit lots of shots to the right! Now I can work on correcting the problem, and start to shave strokes off the score!

I have mentioned in at least a couple of my previous reviews how patient Carlos is when teaching. Today was a definite reinforcement of that fact for me. The day did not start well. I was struggling with the irons. Carlos never criticized, never complained, he just patiently went over the points we have been over in the past. Within 15 minutes, he had me striking the irons with authority! This guy is a REALLY good coach.

Had another GREAT lesson (actually did a double lesson today) with Carlos! We worked on swing consistency, rotating through all the club types (i.e., driver, hybrid, long iron, short iron). Third lesson with Carlos occurred this past Saturday. We continued to work on finding the optimum ball position for my swing path. When the setup is right, he has me hitting the ball like I never have before. I continue to struggle some with too much right hand in the swing.
