I was a first responder EMT, firefighter, and beach guard in St. Johns County, Saint Augustine, where I fell in love with surfing. While I don’t consider myself a pro, I would say I’m an intermediate surfer. I’ve taught many surfing lessons and truly wish it could be my full-time job. I’m also open to relocating for the right opportunity.

With over 20 years of surfing experience, Boris has spent most of his life chasing waves across the Americas — from the powerful beach breaks of Puerto Escondido to the mellow reefs of San Diego and the playful peaks of Florida’s coast. His teaching style blends technical insight with a calm, encouraging energy that helps students connect with the ocean rather than fight it. Boris specializes in helping beginners build confidence and intermediate surfers refine their flow, timing, and positioning. He emphasizes fundamentals — reading waves, paddling efficiency, and ocean awareness — while keeping every session fun and relaxed. When he’s not teaching, you’ll find Boris in the water working on his own surfing, training for marathons, or spending time with his wife and four kids exploring Florida’s coastline. His goal in every lesson is simple: to share the joy, rhythm, and presence that surfing brings to life.
