About Rafael

From my early experience in the sport of Tennis I have learned that teaching must be promoted from discipline and the joy of competing. I started playing since a was very young until l became a player with international projection, managing to be ranked 180 ITF juniors, participate in Olympic and Central American cycles, especially in the world-famous Davis Cup, adding some professional ITF tournaments alongside, where the best athletes in this sport are measured. Simultaneously, I reached a Major in THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO and played for the team, from there I have been able to experience the teaching of tennis, now I aspire to put all my experience, knowledge and preparation at the service of the community and young people who find in sports and tennis a healthy and productive lifestyle. I have a very high level of commitment on the court, especially with early stages of learning tennis, I promote discipline as a key tool in learning. I really like to work on the mechanics of the forehand, backhand, key tool in learning. I really like to work on the mechanics of the forehand, backhand, volley, serve, slice, footwork, and the shape of the ball. I have been worked with adults & juniors of all levels.

What students say...

"I’ve known Rafael since I was little, we are both from Venezuela and same age. I witnessed him starting his whole process as a tennis player even before he jumped into international tournaments, I am very lucky to be his first lesson ever. Somehow it was funny since he was coaching me with 15 years old, back then, I knew that being on the court with him will give me a good energy and vibe, he taught me what to do before matches and after matches, taught me different routines during the matches and some technical stuff. I truly recommend Rafael, no because he’s a good friend of mine, because of his dedication and love for the game.

Donovan's lesson was enjoyable and helped me become a better player. The advice he gave on my game was practical, and I appreciated the chance to try it out right away, which made me feel more confident on the court. Though I still have some work to do, I look forward to building on this progress with him. If you're considering tennis lessons, it’s worth giving Donovan a shot to see how steady guidance can support your game.

Wow, the lesson with Donovan was quite enjoyable, especially since the interactiveness really helped keep things engaging. You know, the focus on that lesson highlight made a noticeable difference. Still, I think sticking to similar goals would be a good idea, though I’d probably just keep working on refining what we did. If you’re after a natural and effective tuition experience, I’d say Donovan’s worth trying out.

I felt like the lesson was quite good. I had fun while simultaneously improving my game. Donovan's approach made it easy to focus on what I need to work on, and I left with clear points to practice. Though I still have some areas to tighten up, I’m optimistic about future lessons. If you’re into consistent progress, it’s worth giving him a shot.

If you're looking to improve your foundational skills, this lesson is a great place to start. Definitely worth trying out! 🎾

Donovan was pretty fun to hit with, and the advice he gave was actionable, so I think it’ll help my game. I was hoping to get in some real tennis and pick up helpful tips, and I did. I’d say the lesson hit the mark for what I wanted. If you're on the fence, I’d recommend giving Donovan a try for sure.

I found the lesson quite enjoyable and, I actually got better at tennis. I would stick with more of the same kind of lesson; I think keeping it consistent makes sense. Donovan’s approach felt natural and quite helpful and I left feeling like I made decent progress.
