I have been playing basketball since the age of 10. My brother was on the high school team and I have trained with him growing up almost everyday. I played on my college intramural team and have taken lessons from professionals that played in college. I regularly play in basketball leagues that even have players over 6’8” tall. I am well versed in young children as I have taught young students English from three years up. (I have my own kids these ages) I am bilingual Mandarin and can explain concepts well in both languages. I am patient, kind, and enjoy seeing others achieve their goals. I look forward to teaching any students be well rounded individuals not just in sports, but in life.

With a lifelong background in racket sports, including tennis, table tennis, and a passion for pickleball, I combine my experience as a competitive 5.0-level pickleball medalist with three Division 1 tennis championships and a Southern California CIF semifinal appearance. I currently teach at Mulholland Hills Country Club and Mika's Tennis Academy and have previously worked as a Special Education instructor, Registered Behavior Therapist, Adaptive Skills Clinician, Mobility Trainer, and Physical Therapist Aide. I hold a Master's degree in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis and a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Biomechanics. My students have earned medals from the 2.5–4.5 levels and qualified for USA Pickleball Nationals. I'm also proud to partner with leading pickleball brands, including Selkirk, Honolulu Pickleball Company, Osaka and Spartus, allowing my students access to exclusive discounts on premium equipment. I suck at learning at the age of 42 and Tom has been patient with me throughout the lesson. 1 hour was pre challenging but kept me focused he gives you good advice and checks your mistakes and compliments what youre doing good.
